2021

Through crowdfunding and corporate funding we raised 20.000 € and redistributed 17.150 € of it to 120 people through an application process of 200 applicants in 2021. Our caseworkers support to help people aware of their rights and/or in navigating German bureaucracy.

Organizations we donated money to:

  • coliberationbln: 500€

  • Mutual Aid Queer Somali: 500€

2020

Through crowdfunding and corporate funding we raised 90.000 € and redistributed 85.000 € of it to 350 people through an application process of 478 applicants in 2020. Our caseworkers support to help people aware of their rights and/or in navigating German bureaucracy.

Organizations we donated money to:

  • Notdienst e.V.: 500 €

  • Gladt e.V.: 500€

  • Women in Exile e.V.: 500€

  • Kanal e.V.: 500€

5000€ we needed for administrative costs, fees and tools.

We have achieved registered status as an "eingetragener Verein mit Gemeinnützigkeit"(not-for-profit community organisation).

Achieving e.V. status means we are now able to continue wealth redistribution on a larger scale, and are now able to also accept donations from companies and groups, having this status also mean that we can take up less space on the crowd funding scale and leave more space for other initiatives that do not have e.V status. We will not be accepting sponsorships or doing any advertising for any companies — we will only be accepting donations and also exchanging resources for sensitivity trainings.

Our distribution process relies 100% on donations.

Risk Tiers

We are marking each case as High Risk (A), Medium Risk (B), Low Risk (C) or Needs Discussion (Z). In a weekly allocation process. Risk lvls are dependent on an intersection of Financial Situational Priority

  • A: Physically unsafe, fearing deportation

  • B: Sex workers, Asylum Seekers

  • C: Other (artists, DJs, Bar Jobs, Garderobe, Door Staff)

And Experience/Identity Priority

  • A: Disability, Immunocompromised, Dependants

  • B: LGBTQIA+, BIPoC, Non-EU

  • C: Other

Distribution Committee

A rotating committee will double check the allocated risk tiers of all the applications and discuss unclear cases. This helps us spread the work and get in as many perspectives as possible to eliminate bias. We also donate a part of our budget to an organisation chosen by the committee. This helps insure that we assist in supporting communities to which we would not reach otherwise.

Case Work

In precarious or unclear situations applicants will contacted by a caseworker to help either clarify on their current situation and/or help them address their rights to achieve government support or access mutual aid networks.
